ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteI have only watched two musicals in my life and those were Legally Blonde: The Musical, and Mama Mia, but they are not my favorite musicals. My favorite musical right now is Wicked. I do not really know a lot about the musical but I've heard the songs from it and I absolutely fell in the love with the music. I also enjoy the musical because the character Glinda is really funny (from what I saw). I saw a part of the musical on Google, but it was starring Annaleigh Ashford as Glinda. If I watched the musical, I think I would like it because of the music and the comedy.

My favorite musical is and always will be RENT.
ReplyDeleteI have always loved rock music and in rent almost the entire score is Rock. In fact, I'm pretty sure it is categorized as a rock opera!
I love the emotional range displayed through out the entire play, and i think its amazing how quickly you get to know and love all of the characters.
while the story is hard for some people to relate to, every one can relate to the emotion in the music.
that is what makes RENT such an amazing musical.

my favorite musical would have to be high school musical i really like Zac effron because he's so dreamy!!! but i really don't think thats my favorite musical i just don't know what it is right now. i really like there singing and i like that its on disney channel :P and i also like vanessa Hudgens and Corbin blue and all the other people in Highschool musical that i forgot about!
ReplyDeleteI don't know many musicals, but my current favorite is Sweeney Todd. I enjoy the plot and the songs. My favorite character is Sweeney Todd, the main character, because his personality interests me. For my favorite song, I would have to say that it's between "Johanna (Reprise)" and "Pretty Woman." If I have the future opportunity, I would love to be able to see the play live for a comparison with the movie. By the way, I love the movie.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite musical would have to be "High School Musical 2" only because it's the only full musical I watched. My favorite scene was the credits because it indicated the movie was over. I liked the singing, acting, and dancing. Wish I had a better musical.
ReplyDeleteI have only watched one musical and that was the musical The Lion King. I watched that musical a long time ago but I still remeber watching it and really enjoying it. My favorite character was Simba the little lion who in the beginging lost his Dad. His character went through many hard ships and handled them so well.
ReplyDeleteSo for now until I watch more musicals my favorite musical is The Lion King.
Uuumm...I don't really have a favorite musical because the only ones I have ever seen were musicals. But I guess out of those, my favorites are Dreamgirls, Greese, and The Wiz. You know with Diana Ross and Michael Jackson. I want to see Wicked Sooo bad and I'm sure once I do, it will become my favorite and the other ones will get booted down. I dont really know why I like them so much, other then they are just about the only ones I've ever seen. But I guess it's cause the songs in them stick with you.
ReplyDeleteI currently am not familiar with any musicals. So I don’t really have any favorite ones. I know some of the more popular ones such as Aida, Willy Wonka, and Sweeney Todd, Mamma Mia, and Lion King. I would like to become more familiar with different musicals so that I could learn more about culture and performing arts. Music is exciting, and acting combined with music is even more exciting. Learning about the performing arts also improves one’s confidence which is one of the reasons why I would like to be more familiar with different musicals. Musicals are kind of like movies, and it’s always fun to watch a movie.
ReplyDeleteThe only real broadway musical I've seen in a theater was Mamma Mia, so I guess that's my only answer to this question. I did watch Cats on Broadway too, but I thought it was really boring. I enjoyed Mamma Mia a lot because it was very animated and since I knew the songs, it made watching it even more fun for me. I thought the story of the play was easy to understand from the beginning. There were shirtless guys in board shorts and fins too, so that's always a plus. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite musical would have to be High school musical (all three of them) because I like the music and themes they use in the movie. Also because i never usually watch musicals but anyway! I also enjoy the dancing (it makes you want to get up and dance). The usage of props was cool too. I like the basketball song. I have not seen any other musical really. (If lion king is included as a musical I've seen that!)I've seen many lion king movies! :D
ReplyDeleteMy favorite musical is "mamma Mia". The dancing skills are so advanced that it maes the movie pale in comparissan. When "Donna" sings and dances, it's hard to believe that the character is only acting and not the real person. My favorite song in the musicalis "I Have A Dream". It breaks off in the beggining and then right at the end of the musical it picks up again. I love this musical above all others.
ReplyDeleteAt this moment I’m obsessed with the musical Wicked. There is something about each song how it was written to fit together perfectly and memorable. The story line is clever and witty, with an amazing cast to love every bit of the way. Though I’ve never seen Wicked, the two minute scenes on youtube of the musical make fall for the humor of Glinda and Elphaba. If I could I would take the next flight to Broadway to see it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite musical at the moment is Wedding Singer. I think that it is an interesting musical because it is funny but yet serious and it still has a meaning at the end.
ReplyDeleteAnd also the songs and the actors just capture the audience with their reactions and voices.
