Taylor the Latte boy.
ReplyDeleteSuch silly lyrics, but such an amazing song.
This song really shows how good of an actor Kristin Chenoweth is. i love how she is constantly interjecting little emotional quarks to keep the listener interested through out the whole song. Her facial expressions are constantly changing all the way through the song according the emotion in the lyrics. she is a prime example that no one should just sing in a musical, they should act!

I didn’t hear this song before this class and all I can do is wonder why. This song is hilarious. It’s well written and super quirky. But I think this song wouldn’t be as good If it wasn’t performed well then it would crappish but her facial expressions where amazing. I think she is very talented and as soon as I get more money I’m buying this song of Itunes. And the video too.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the taylor latte boy clip it was very funny and very entertaining . It also showed me how singing can be fun and funny wold like to listen to more clips by kristine chenowth . She is a very good singer and an equally good actor i also really liked her in wicked . I just have one question did she make up the latte boy song or was it part of a play?

While observing Kristin Chenoweth's performance, I learned that face and hand expressions enhance explaining the story of the song. The tone in her voice also helped expose the mood of the song. It was easy to tell that the song is a happy one. Another thing I noticed was her exaggerations on the "I love him"s. It made it clear that the song is talking about her feelings for Taylor.
ReplyDeleteI really liked that song, Taylor the Latte Boy. It's very funny and very colorful. Somethings that I noticed was that Christian Chenoweth sang very good, of course since she's a Broadway Star :P. Her facial expression were also great. She really animated the song, which made it very funny! This would be my first time I heard this song and now this is going to be one of my favorite songs now. I can't wait to hear other broadway songs!!!!
ReplyDeleteVideo Clip- Taylor The Latte Boy
ReplyDeleteThe video clip was about how a girl fell in love with the boy who worked at Starbucks making her Lattes every morning. The clip had a comical tone. My opinion of the clip was that it was very interesting and funny; I liked it.
From watching the clip I noticed that the singer was changing the tone of her vioce which made the clip funny and helped tell the story. So, I learned how you changing the tone of your voice can help tell a story.
Taylor the latte boy is a very interesting song, I noticed that during the song she was making certain movements to tell her story. And also she would make gestures to get the audience involved.
ReplyDeleteI learned that when you sing a song you need not just to sing it but to act it out too.
I think the song was hillarious(Taylor the Latte Boy). I noticed that Christan was actually acting out the song, and not just singing it.This may have been the first time I heard this , but it's already become my favorite. If this is broadway, than I want to hear all there is.
ReplyDeleteKristin Chenowth's performance of "Taylor The Latte Boy" was entertaining to watch even though she was sitting down for the whole song because she showed great expression and hand movements to go along with what she was singing about. I liked how she had many variations to her pitch because it kept me interested for the whole four minutes.
ReplyDeleteI learned that many expression and actions during a song is important to portray what is being said instead of just singing it.
Taylor the Latte Boy was a very good song and I liked how it had a comical element in it. Like when she said "how are you today," she changed how her voice sounded and made it sound serious. That gave the song an interesting element to it. She sang it very well and often made her audience laugh. I also liked that she didn't just sing the song, but she also acted it out. Like when she changed her face expressions to match the words she was singing, and the hand motions that she made as well. The song also told a great story. This was a great song! (:
ReplyDeleteI absolutely enjoyed watching "Taylor the Latte Boy". The song was not only humorous, but it was sung by one of my favorite Broadway stars of all time, Kristin Chenoweth. Kristin Chenoweth always brings a sense of her own personal style with each character that she portrays. In this performance, she included a lot of facial expressions and different voices to interpret the song. For example, in the beginning of the song when she explains him saying "Hey." to her every morning, she makes her voice lower to imitate what the Latte Boy is saying. She did not just sing the song, but she became the character as well, which made her final performance a 10 out of 10! :)
