I've decided to break the class into 2 different groups. beg and Med, we will discuss this in class...
Lesson:
Beg: Teach finger warm ups
Explain the basic "C" scale
Finish our tuning Exercises
If time allows introduce the Chord "A"
Med: Start with our morning warm ups
Work on our first scales from last week, and then well introduce 2 newer scales.
finish our bar exercises together.
Maintain our blues slides, progressions, and riffs.
Blog: 70 words- What is your favorite type of guitar playing... Heavy metal? accoustic? Alternative? etc. please explain your answer.

My favorite type of guitar playing would have to be either acoustic or alternative. I really like acoustic artists such as Gabe Bondoc and Joe Brooks. There acoustic performances are so raw and genuine. They have such a clean sound to them. It's so peaceful and relaxing.
ReplyDeleteMy second favorite type of guitar playing is alternative. I like to listen to alternative when I want to be pumped and hyped up. Alternative gets you energized and they are fun party songs to dance to.
I guess my favorite guitar playing would be electric. And the reason I say electric and not alternative, is because you can basically play any type of music with that guitar. Like my favorite guitar player would Carlos Santana. I remember being like five and my mom would play his cd and that’s when I basically fell in love with this instrument and knew I had to play it. But I love when people just explode in there solo. It’s amazing. So I mean besides metal...everything done with electric is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI havent started playing guitar until last year when I taught myself. I like accoustic, alternative and hawaiian. My friends all like how I play hawaiian music but i'm not that good. I need to get a better guitar and practice different styles of playing. But my favorite type of playing is hawaiian. When we have parties I play hawaiian music and then I make up stuff to play. its fun having aunties do hula while me and my uncles play guitar.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite type of guitar playing is acoustic and alternative. I like acoustic because it’s smooth and calming. When I listen to it I feel relaxed and it makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteI also like alternative because it’s upbeat and energetic. I feel lively when I listen to alternative. Alternative music is good to get you pumped up and dance to like at parties. I usually listen to alternative, I guess alternative is my favorite.
I'm not really sure which guitar type I'd like the best, seeing as how I've never played a guitar...Well, I've strummed one before, but never played one >w< I think that I would like acoustic the most because I've heard it before and I've liked the sound. Later today, I'm going to buy my first guitar, so I hope the experience will be as exciting and awe-blowing as anyone else's!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite style of guitar would have to be acoustic. I have always enjoyed listening to the kind of music made by people like Damien Rice and Andrew Bird. I believe that acoustic guitar lets the musician express the emotions he is trying to convey with his song much better than say a heavily distorted electric guitar.
ReplyDeleteMy second favorite style of guitar is flamenco.
I love the pure energy that the musician has to inject into almost every song when playing flamenco. Everything about it feels alive.

I like acoustic guitar playing because it sounds really cool. I like Jack Johnson's music because he is really good at playing the guitar. I think an acoustic guitar can go well in any genre of music. I also like acoustic guitars because they can be scratchy or smooth. I like to listen to fast, upbeat acoustic guitar playing because it's fun. I sort of like electric guitars if they are played to my taste.
