I have had some music experience in the past. I do know how to read music, and I can sight read a little bit on the piano. I have played the clarinet for 5 years and I used to play the piano when I was 5-9 years old, but I'm not nearly has good as I used to be. I know how to write notes, key signatures, etc. on the staff, because Mrs. Colvin taught us how to last year. And yeah...that's my experience! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a singer, but I don't know if I'm that good. I can read music and I play the piano. I don't know what sight reading is, but I know that I have never written music. Singing isn't my best...thing, but I try my best and see the outcome. I have been playing the piano for six, seven years? Even though I can read piano music, it takes me time to learn a whole song. My mom is the best piano music reader in the world (in my eyes) because she can look at any sheet of music and play the whole thing with little practice. I want to take piano lessons again this year, but it looks like I'll have to practice by my self.
ReplyDeleteMy music capabilities are on a very low scale. I can play piano but, it takes time for me because I go by memory sometimes and I can read musical notes but, not fluently. Also, I don't position my hands a certain way, they just go where the note is. I'm fuzzy on reading notes. I doodle songs on my little keyboard sometimes when I'm bored and go on Youtube to learn song notes but, that's about it. I really wanna learn how to play ukulele so I can sing local songs when I play but, I don't exactly know how to tune an ukulele.:\ We were forced to play violin in the first year of ARA so I learn a little of that.(not well though) I certainly can't write music if I can barely read it. Yea, besides singing I'm not very intrumentaly active.
ReplyDeleteI was in the 4th grade choir in texas, so I have sung before. Umm every year of school I have taken music class, I've played ukelele's, sung, played the piano, played the trumpet, drums, and recorder. I didn't do anything for very long so I've forgotten most of what I learned. I can read music, I don't even know what site reading is. I think I can write music, but yeah thats my music experience. Oh and I would like to relearn how to play the piano.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I don't really know my musical talents. Everything is OkaY but I'm not fantastic at one thing. I used to play piano a long time ago so I have some knowledge with that. I would like to continue learning how to play instruments, like I have in the past, and I want to read music too! Chorus is great because you can make music with your own voice and I would like to continue learning how to sing :D The things Mr.Josh told us we'll be doing in class is cool and I'm actually excited to improve/gain talents --> especially musical talents.
ReplyDeleteI do have music experience. I know how to read music thanks to the music teachers I had the past years. I know how to play the piano and the violin. I've known how to play the piano for 4,5, or 6 years, and I played the violin 4-5 years ago, now this year I'm relearning how to play but I still remember some notes. I can sight read on the piano. And I know how to write notes.
