Mr. Josh's three day breathing crash course was very helpful. I now know how to breathe properly while I sing, I know the different ways to sing, through your mouth, through your nose, through your forehead, through the top of your head, and through the back of your head. Whenever I listen to music or when I watch live singing concerts, I find my self thinking about where they are singing from. I don't know if I want to do the relaxation exercise(not excerise Mr. Josh. You made a typo). Not because I didn't enjoy it, its just that I got light headed pretty quickly.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Mr. Josh's 3 day breathing crash course. It was really helpful and really fun at the same time. I was always told to breathe from my diaphragm but I never understood what to do until this class. I also liked the fact that he used a lot of metaphors do describe what our bodies are doing instead of explaining it "mathematically". I would love to do the relaxation exercise again! I did that exercise before my big Nutcracker audition on Saturday and it really helped me calm down. Good Job Mr. Josh! :)
ReplyDeleteMy opinion on Mr. Josh's 2 day breathing crash course was it is very helpful. Everytime I sing to a song I make sure to do the thing that Mr. Josh taught us. So open my mouth more, to force teh air out so I sing lounder and also, to sing from my stomach not from my chest. The stomach technique is really good. I never realized that we sub-conciously teach ourself to breath incorecctly. So yes it all was very helpful and beneficial. Makes me wonder if singer who sing from their chest would become a lot better if they sang from their stomach. I wanna learn more techniques so I can become better and better singer I can possibly be. I learned a lot of important thing to remember while singing. Sure I do the relaxation excersize again.
ReplyDeleteMr. Josh’s three-day breathing crash course was helpful. We learned about posture and our diaphragm. I never knew about properly breathing and how babies breathe the correct way and then later develop bad habits. When we breathe in, our stomach is supposed to get bigger and when we breathe out, it becomes skinny. Also, when we breathe in and out, our diaphragm goes up and down. The relaxation exercise was helpful, but I don’t really want to do it again because I might fall asleep. Another thing I learned is that you put one foot slightly forward when you sing (like the hand you write with). That’s a little about our three-day breathing crash course.
ReplyDeleteThe breathing crash course was helpful and fun. I learned that there are different places to sing like in the back of your head, top of your head, the forehead, the nose, and the mouth.
ReplyDeleteI tried out the breathing excersise on my own at home while singing it was a little bit hard but I'm still getting it. I'm not really sure if I want to do the breathing excersise again. I'm thinking about it.
Mr. Josh's three day breathing excercise was helpfull because we learned how to breath without hurting ourselves =). I liked the relaxtion excercises, they were very relaxing and calming. I am not sure if I want to do them again but I wouldn't mind it =).
