From this clip, of the Sister Act, I notice that everyone is working as a team. When they are singing as a group, nobody particularly stands out (except when there are solos of course). They all look like they are having fun, and nobody is just standing there. Everyone is involved, so there are no loose ends. I remember singing this at my old school during religion class for fun, so this clip also brought back a lot of memories.

I remember watching the Sister Act. I think I was in seventh or eighth grade when I saw it. When they started out they were terrible. After some teaching from the new nun, they all become wonderful singers. They sound on key, everyone's on the right tempo. It's funny because it's mostly made of older women who have wonderful singing voices. What really stood out was the one nun who turned the wrong way while dancing.
ReplyDeleteThe nuns are singing in a differnert style(?) than the normal sterotype of a hymn. It's still pertaining to their love of God and how great he is etc. They seem to be having a fun time singing and sort of dancing so that tells me they are having fun with the new style. The one nun in the audience where the camera was zoomed to didn't seem to happy with the change of beat. I think everyone was on key for most of the song, maybe not the solo's. I noticed a few famous people, but I only know the name of the main famous person. Whoopy Goldberg =).
ReplyDeleteThe sister acts my god (my guy) was funny. It was cute how all of those nuns did their own remix and added their own personality to it. The my god was the funny part to the remix because they replaced relationships with religion that covers more topics... as in their overall religion and not just one person, if you understand what I mean. The different voices stand out and so does the "chorus". Everyone was on key pretty well and the famous voice I noticed was the main sister. (forgot her name) Overall, it was pretty good.
ReplyDeleteMy opinion on this clip is its exactly what I think chorus is. Which is everybody working together. Each a different personality and a different voice to tribute to sing one song. Its is so great that they are working together so perfectly. Each woman[nun] has a job and they do it. Nobody messed up [I think] but, if they did I will bet they will have that person's back. Their are solos parts, duo&trio parts and then group parts. What stands out is their enthusiasm to sing together and their voices, definately. I love that their voices are so animatedly different separately and ajoined they sound beautiful. Yes, everyone is definately on key and soung great. :) I notice whoopi Goldberg's[famous person] voice.
ReplyDeleteThe Sister Act song was pretty good. Everyone was working together as a team. What I thought stood out was the nuns that were doing the solos and the one nun that faced the wrong way while they were doing the dance. They all seemed to be having a good time and they are not just standing there just singing, but are singing AND dancing. Everyone was on key and they were all awesome.
