i think what berthold auerbach is trying to say is that music takes us away from every day life and gives us something new. like music can can make you feel happy when you are grumpy it makes us feel different things. so what he meant to say is like when you listen to music it sort of takes you on a little vacation but the vacation does not last very long but it still makes us feel good and of course every one likes to feel good so we keep music. or it could mean that it makes your life different, it changes your boring life so you are not dull and boring so berthold auerbach seemed like the guy who loved classical music so he would listen to it every day and it would always make him feel good. so pretty much what he said was that music brings us something different so we can enjoy it

If your having a bad day then when you listen to music it washes all the junk things that happened thats day. I personally like this quotes because it is completely true. If im going through something hard, i listen to music to calm myself down. There are many quotes to choose from but this quote says so much with very little words
ReplyDeleteI belive this is said because the "dust" is boredom, and music washes it away, and I can vouch for that. Ordinarily, blogging can be a boring task, or just a time to sleep, not me, Tyler, he fell asleep in study hall yesterday.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I am glad to say that music had added speed and thought process to typing work, usually it would take me twice as long to do typing, but thanks to, "Our Truth" by Lucuna Coil, it goes by pretty fast. Wow done in five minutes, that has to be a personal best for me. Musicgets rid of boredom, that's all I think about on this topic.
I think this means that if you are having problem in every day life, you can always sit back and listen to music and the music will wash away all of your trubles. Music will wash away all of the truble all of the worrys all of the problems that you're having in life whe you listen to it. I think it means that music will get your mind off of the things that are trubling you at work, at school, with your friends or with your relationships.
ReplyDeleteI think this quote by berthold auerbach means that music is used in people's every day lives to make something interesting. It means that music is used to add a setting to a conversation or scene. Different kinds of music are used to cheer people up, bring people together, and be happy listening to the music. I think what he means is, that if we didn't have music to add a mood and setting to our environment, life would be alot more boring.

To me it means when you listen to music that it lets you escape to your on world for a few moments of you life. I think that it means that because I think that "dust of everyday" represents time by the key word dust and I think it means escape because of "washes away from the soul" I think means escape from the key word washes.

Well when I read this quote I think of music being like a janitor who when you listen to it he washes away all your worries. So for example if you have been having a bad day you can go home sit on the couch and listen to some relaxing music and just unwind and let the music wash away your worries.
ReplyDeleteI think that "music washes a way from the soul the dust of every day life" means that when people listen to music it calms them and makes them feel good, even if they are mad frustrated or sad or any thing else. Music sort of takes you out of reality for a bit. Music can remove negative feelings and help you think better.

I think this quote means that music kind of controls you. what music you listen to effects what you dress like and what you do. If you were to listen to elevator or classical music you would probably dress proper and act calm. If you were to listen to metal or hard core rap you would probably dress like you were Goth or in a gang and probably be a little troubled.

And somethings it can be good music or it ca be junk music. The other think that "Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life" also could mean some could be some music can be relaxing and some could not be. Music washes it away, because when you are having a bad day, and have a lot on your mind, you can just sit back and listen to some music and forget about all of it for a bit. usually music is something to relax you ( unless you listen to hardcore rock) in conclusion, that is what "Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life" means to me.
ReplyDeleteI think that this quote by Berthold Auerbach,"Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life" doesn't have a specific meaning it could mean a lot of things. To me, the "dust" in the quote that the person is talking about is the troubles of everyday life. And when you listen to a certain song or type of music, the music washes away all the “dust” or in other words your problems. That’s what I think the quote by Berthold Auerbach means.
