  1. This was so freakin hilarious!!!!!! The acting was just amazing. It was fast paced and amusing also I still got the story after all of this (Maybe its because I know about Romeo and Juliet). I liked the idea of taking Shakspearean plays and making them short and funny. I started laughing a lot towards the end and onward because these guys executed this so well. I could not find anything wrong with this video and just finishing this made me want to watch more from these guys. In fact I will!!

  2. That yell in the beginning sounds like one of your (Josh's) random outbursts. I like the comedy in this. Especially the fact that Juliet is a portrayed by a man. The unnecessary exaggeration of their acting is what makes their performance entertaining. I don't know about others, but I can see that the cast members are comfortable with one another. It shows in their performance. I normally don't find parodies funny, but this one was. Good choice.

  3. The Reduced Shakespeare Company!!
I love this group, they are so funny!
I’ve seen them a few times before but never this one. The exaggeration in their acting is what makes this so funny! This is one of those rare videos that can make me really laugh out loud! All of these guys are obviously great actors.
I love how they make something normally dry like Shakespeare and make it hilarious!! I think its really funny.
    GREAT CHOICE OF VIDEO JOSH!

  4. That youtube one was so funny! It was a little weird and why the heck is Juliet played by a man? They were really portraying their parts really well and the way they turned around the ye olde english and made it like how people would talk like today. They were so funny and when he was acting and said " for I am slain!" I thought I was going to die. I think it was the funniest when it was ending.

  5. This was like a car wreck. Impossible to look away. But, I'm really just not finding it amusing at all. But, twas somewhat epic, I guess. I prefer the original. Really, I can't even bear to watch that anymore.

  6. I found it really funy. All though of coarse its not as artistic as the original its a lot more entertaining my opinion. And its shorter. If it were at all possible I would have loved to be in this performance. It looks like it was more fun to be in then to actually watch. I wish we could do stuff like this.

  7. This was unlike many of the other videos we have watched previously for our blog post in this class. I really enjoyed this video was comical, and it was very funny throughout the course of the video. I especially found it funny when the person was slain. "Oh I am slain!." And he walked away with the sword between his arm and his hip. You're supposed to be dead. And there are many references linked with modern times in this video, even though this play was created many years ago. An example of this is when Juliet drinks the vile, and when she dies she says "just say no!" In reference to drugs, and the term of "just say no to drugs."

  8. the really mad me laugh! some of it i couldn't really make out because of the language but other then that it was really very funny over all here were some of the parts that i truly love "oh im slain" that was a great part i wish we could have watched more stuff like this.

  9. Haha! That was hilarious. I'm assuming you made us watch this video because it is what we basically have to do for the skit? Anyways, I thought that their acting was great! It was overdramatized, but that's what made the skit work! I really liked the ending where Romeo and Juliet died, that was the best part. Oh and the part where Juliet and that other lady (well guy) was screaming. Good video!

  10. OMG this was a halarious video!I loved that juliet was played by a man. After I saw that I knew it wasn't going to be a very serious video. It was funny. And I loved that they were all wearing converse that was cool. I loved Juliet's death scene it was halarious when she said just say no right before she passed out. I think I will watch more videos by this group I enjoyed watching it.

  11. My friend had this big phase with Romeo and Juliet, so before I did anything I knew I had to show this to her. The actors quickness and memorization are simply incredible, just from the interaction with the audience you are aware that they are professionals at improv. I really loved how each line could make you laugh, although the lines were almost to the book of Shakespeare.
"I'll be sending this to my English teacher." was the first thing my friend said after watching.

  12. Who thought that watching two men play a Romeo and Juliet skit could be so funny and entertaining? I enjoyed watching this. The kiss scene was clever. I had no idea what to expect for that part, and I love how he said to get over it to the audience. Being over dramatic in this case was hilarious and made it easier to understand what was going on and easier to see the emotion of the character. Funny stuff.
