  1. I honestly don't like the beginning of the song until towards the ending, but I enjoy the acting and setting throughout the entire performance. Especially how it started. It's very odd to see rap and hip-hop applied to musical theater, but I think it's very unique. It just goes to show that musical theater consists of various multiple music genres. As for the acting, it's good to see that each person, whether the main role or not, always has an active part. The dance numbers are pretty good, too. This is the first time I heard and seen of In The Heights, so I'm unaware of the story plot, but I'll probably read about it some other time when I'm really bored.

  2. Woah that was a totally different way to do a musical!! The setting was pretty unique as well as the style of music they chose, hip hop and rap. I do not think that I heard any musical that used rap and hip hop in it. It was a totally different thing, but I liked it. The ending was really cool. Every thing just came alive in the end. This was really interesting to watch and that makes me wonder how many other musical's are trying something new to be unique?

  3. I can honestly say, I never seen a musical done that way. And ya know what? I'm really diggin it. I mean a hiphop musical...Dude, thats sick. I think its really sweet to see how far Broadways come. It's a point where we have now have rappers on the stage. It was so entertaining. I could see myself watching this show over and over again just to learn the words to it. And the acting AND the dancing was pretty frikin incredible. I wana see more musicals like this one.

  4. Honestly, I can't think of one word to thoroughly describe what I just saw. But, it wasn't good. I think .... I died a little inside, watching that. >_>
I hate almost all hip-hop rappity stuff, because it just so happens to make my ears scream in pain and my mouth twist into a grimace. This video has forever scarred me. I CAN NEVER LISTEN TO MUSIC THE SAME WAY AGAIN! D:

...Just kidding. I definitely didn't like the music numbers much, that's fer shure; but the acting was good. Watchable, I guess one could say. I feel literate today. 8D
If only I could pronounce half the words I just typed. XD

  5. I really enjoyed this video. I like how the person talking to Whoopee went right into his performance after he was finished talking. His rap was also quite impressive. The background kind of reminded me of West Side Story because it was similar to a city street. The dancing was also very good because it was a variation of hip hop. Hip hop dancing always amazes me if performed well. The combination of singing and dancing was well coordinated and modern. I also liked the work that they did with the lights because it made the whole performance work really well.

  6. That was a terrible begging! the acting was okay, but the songs sucked, i'm just saying. Broadway haas come a long way, but in that version I thought that all I thought about broadway was a lie. It's watchable but I wont reccomend it to my worst enemy.

  8. This cast amazing!
They all have crazy voices and great rhythm. What really caught my attention in this performance was the fact that they were rapping for a good part of the song! I have never seen anything even vaguely similar to this in any other play or musical. I think that it helped to bring a whole new depth to the characters of the show. From what I saw, the dancing was superb as well. I would love to see this show live.

  9. This vide was...interesting. I was suprised at the first part of the clip when his preformance first started. But as the clip kept going I got used to his style and it got better. I started enjoying it a lot more. He used a lot of dancing and acting during the preformance to help tell the story which made it more intersting.
