Blog: 80 words- Aces your playing skills. How do you feel? Are you keeping up with the class? What are some short term and long term goals?

I really like guitar and I think I am doing very well. I want to learn how to play like Jack Johnson and other great acoustic guitar players. I seem to be picking up on the notes really well. I already know how to play the G, A, D, E, C and Am. I try to practice as much as I can, but sometimes, I leave my guitar at school! I think I am keeping up with the class because I know all of the notes that we have been taught.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I am doing really well so far in guitar. I am learning loads about the guitar and guitar players alike. I love that I am learning all sorts of songs from artists that I love, and even remaking some of them! This class is teaching me a lot about musicianship in general. I would love to be able to eventually play like Jason mraz.
ReplyDeleteSo far I think I am keeping up quite nicely with the rest of the class.

I am really enjoying this class. It is a lot of fun. I think i am doing pretty well in the class. I know all of the cords that we have learned so far, its now just a matter of making my transitions a lot faster. Besides taking to long when going from a to g and c to d and other combination besides a to d then I believe that im doing quite well. And I know that i need to work extremely hard on the finger warm ups because that would be another one of my major downfalls.
ReplyDeleteI really like guitar class. It is really exciting and fun. I think I'm doing okay in this class, I could do better by practicing more. But I have been practicing a little more then I use to and I think I have improved because I know most of the cords we have learned so far. I have also found easier ways to place my fingers on the guitar strings. I just need to make sure I keep up by practicing more often.
ReplyDeleteI love playing the guitar, I just wish I was good at playing it but I think am getting better. I want to play as good as my dad because he is very, very good at it. I know some of the notes really well like A,D,G,E,C,Am. My dad is also teaching me how to play the into to "Welcome Home" from Coheed and Cambria. I think I am doing good in class well... well I hope so.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first started guitar I didn't think that I would know anything. but I got use to play and I know how to play better now. I know alot more chords and how to play different styles. my goal is to be a musishun and travel the world performing at well known playes. but It will be a long while untill I get more better and can play in front of people without messing up. I like music >.<
ReplyDeleteMeh… my playing skill…tis alright. I think that with a little more practice, I’ll be, as Manoah would say, “pro” at it. I mean, I’m decent at the Mexican song, and I’m getting better on the warm-ups, but the only major problem I see in the future is changing from chord to chord. But again, with a little practice, I think I’ll get it. Then again, I do have to practice…damn my laziness! Time to do a piano and guitar practice session over the weekend…again! XD
ReplyDeleteGuitar is fun. I enjoy this class and am glad I am finally learning guitar. I will admit that I have not practiced as much as I should have been. I find it hard to make time. It's not that guitar is a chore, it's just that I seem to have no time. From K12, my other school work and swim; I need to learn to make time for guitar. I know the chords and I am pretty good at the Mexican song, but I still need to work on warm ups. I have a hard time on the 3rd through 1st strings. And I must work on faster transitions.
